CTI recognizes and respects the importance of the privacy of all kinds of associates and visitors/users of the Institute’s website. In this context, CTI has adopted a Privacy Policy, which is fully compatible with the current regulatory framework for the Protection of Personal Data (European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679/EU-GDPR) and the relevant national legislation (Law 4624/2019) and aims to inform visitors of CTI’s website about the information collected while navigating it.
Under applicable law, “personal data” means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject). Information relating to legal persons and groups of persons or statistical information, from which it is not possible to trace back to an identified or identifiable natural person, does not fall into this category and is excluded from the scope of the relevant legislation.
By navigating and using CTI’s website, visitors/users acknowledge that they have read, understood and unconditionally accepted the Institute’s Privacy Policy.

Personal data collected by CTI Website
During your visit to CTI’s website you are not obliged to provide your personal information, unless you wish to do so during your communication with us at info.cti@cti.gr.

Purpose and principles of personal data collection
CTI collects and processes the personal data of visitors/users solely in the context of fulfilling its purposes and functions and more precisely to serve communication with them. The processing is limited to personal data that are necessary and appropriate for the fulfillment of the purposes and functions of the node. The processing is subject to the rules of the existing institutional framework.
Use of personal data – confidentiality and security
The personal data we collect when you contact us at info.cti@cti.gr, are used only for the needs of communication with you and for your better service. No further processing, forwarding or exchange takes place on this data.
The personal data we collect in the context of the operation of the website is completely confidential. Only a few CTI executives has access to this data, who are committed to maintaining confidentiality. In addition, we have adequate security systems in place and we take all necessary measures to prevent any security breach of personal data by our systems.
In general, data collected electronically and/or physically are recorded for processing solely for the purpose for which they were collected and are not used for any other purpose. These data are kept for a reasonable period of time and proportionate to the specific requirements of each action and then deleted.

During navigation on CTI’s website, user identification data may be collected through modern technologies, such as cookies and/or IP address collection.
Cookies are small pieces of text sent to the browser by a website visited by the user in order to distinguish it from other users. The applicable legislation on the protection of personal data gives you the right to check whether your personal data is lawfully processed (“right of access of the subject”). You can exercise your rights to access, modify, restrict, transmit or delete your data by contacting the DPO as indicated above.
Filing a complaint with the competent Data Protection Authority
If you believe that your rights regarding the protection of personal data have been violated, you may contact CTI’s DPO, as above, who will investigate the case. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe that we do not process your personal data in accordance with the law, you may file a complaint with the competent Greek Data Protection Authority or any other co-competent authority under the GDPR. Amendments to the Privacy Policy
CTI reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any amendments will be posted on CTI’s website. By navigating and using CTI’s website, visitors/users acknowledge that they have read, understood and unconditionally accepted the Privacy Policy.
